Adlib takes centre stage

ADLIB Entertainment has been producing quality theatre for 13 years.
Adlib Young Performers (AYP) program has been helping young people develop presentation and acting skills through drama and theatre for the past eight years.
During that time hundreds of children and teenagers have also enjoyed being part of the Adlib community.
Founders Donna and Peter Dowler said students in AYP inspired with their energy and talent and Adlib continued to strive to challenge them and offer unique opportunities for youth everywhere.
“Last year, Adlib’s Youth Impro Games attracted 15 secondary schools, both government and private,” they said.
“Their performers were showcased at the Environmental Expo and the production and launch of the ‘Safe Start’ CD for the City Of Casey as well as many other appearances around Melbourne.”
Donna and Peter said results spoke for themselves – from the six-year-old who can now speak in ‘show and tell’ to the 18-year-old that simply can’t get off the stage.
“This year Adlib is proud to introduce production classes,” they said.
The junior musical class will be a presentation of ‘Annie’ where the younger students will learn about the process of production from auditions to performance.
The senior master class will include skill development of all aspects of acting and will present three productions including a Shakespearian play and a musical.
Applicants 13 years and over are encouraged to apply.
Donna and Peter said Adlib was extremely proud of the fact that the Young Performers programs were run by tutoring staff that included experienced working performers, directors and producers.
